Technically no — they're Unicode characters that look like styled letters. Bold "𝐀" is the Unicode "Mathematical Bold Capital A" character (U+1D400). Because they're real Unicode, you can paste them anywhere — Instagram bio, TikTok name, Discord, Twitter — without needing the platform to support custom fonts.
